We’ve asked them about their planned investments, priorities, and current use. We’ve polled them on their realized benefits, challenges, hiring and talent, and even trends impacting their organization’s foreseeable future.
In this first annual Global State of Enterprise Analytics survey conducted for MicroStrategy by research consultancy Hall & Partners, the results have revealed numerous commonalities, as well as some distinct differences, across geographic regions. One thing is certain, however: data and analytics are playing a crucial role in digital transformation efforts and giving insights-driven leaders a competitive edge.
Here are three striking statistics from the new report:
- 90% of respondents say that data and analytics are important to their digital transformation efforts
- Through their current analytics initiatives, 63% are realizing improved efficiency and productivity, 57% are experiencing faster, more effective decision making, and 51% are achieving better financial performance
- Over the next year, 64% of decision makers say their organization plans to invest more in their analytics initiatives—over the next five years, 71% plan to invest more
